The present research mainly focuses on the textual structure of LR from theperspective of genre theory. However, the study from micro perspective is insufficient,such as citation, tense, voice, reporting verbs and modal verbs. More work needs to bedone for the purpose of building up more solid stock of information, which is sufficientlydominant to support LR writing. The present discussion is preliminary, and thus furtherstudy is necessary.
