 has  made  the  more  comprehensive empirical  analyses  on  CMC,  especially  the  comparative  features  of  CMC  from  multi -dimensions.  Another  classic  is  Language  and  Internet  written  by  David  Crystal  (2001). This book is by far the most influential early works of Netspeak. David has discussed the language  context  of  Internet,  email,  chatting  group,  virtual  community  and  the  web language  in  his  book,  but  the  most  profound  finding  that  he  put  forward  is  to  create linguistics of Netspeak and give a prospect to the future of Netspeak linguistic.  After  that,  foreign  researchers  turn  their  view  into  the  network  communication  and network  language.  Herring  (1996)  made  an  analysis  of  website  language  from  three perspectives,  linguistic,  social  and  cross-culture.  She  thinks  website  language  creates  a new  communication  environment  and  brings  a  huge  change  to  human’s  life. Androutsopoulos & Evelyn (2004) explored the regional speech in a chat community and they  treated  it  as  language  variation  on  the  Internet.  Crystal  (2006)  held  the  view  that language  of  network  is  a  revolution  in  human’s  daily  language  life.  Gackenbach  (2007) investigated  the  relationship  between  human  psychology  and  Internet.  All  these  studies give  us  a  hint  that  specialized  studies  of  Netspeak  are  increasing  and  the  vision  of Netspeak  is  gradually  expanding.  But  so  far,  no  foreign  scholars  have  ever  contributed views of Netspeak under the POM.

2.2 Domestic research on Netspeak 
In  China,  the  history  of  Internet  dates  back  to  1994,  it  began  to  spread  in  the  late 1990s.  But  with  the  rapid  development  of  China’s  economy  and  electronic  information technology,  Netspeak  is  developing  at  an  alarming  rate.  So  far,  many  scholars  have realized the importance  of Netspeak and do some researches  from different angles.  From 1994  to  2000,  the  scholars  mainly  focused  on  the  attitude  and  criterion  of  Netspeak.  For example, Shan Xiong (2000) mentioned that Netspeak is destroying the purity of Chinese in his paper; Jing Song & Qi Ke (2000) talked about what is cyber language; Kuang Xia (2000) put forward a new idea that Network language is a kind of particular social dialect.
