ecial  qualities.  With  the  duplication  and  transmission  of  this  expression,  different sorts  of  expressions  have  different  semantic  features  and  pragmatic  features.  So  a series of questions have to be put forward, such as: (1) Is “MQ-Construction” a construction? Why or why not? (2) What kind of construction does the expression “MQ-Construction” belong to? Is it a kind of counter-expectation construction? How to define it? (3) If  “MQ-Construction”  is  counter-expectation  construction,  what  is  its  cognitive mechanism and construal mechanism at the syntagmatic level? (4) As  for  the  prototype  constructions  and  the  non-prototypes  constructions  of  “MQ-Construction”, how to explain their relationship at the paradigmatic level? It is the initial motivation of the thesis to answer these questions.

1.2   Objectives of the Study
Altogether  150  “MQ-Construction”  examples  are  collected  from  Baidu searching  engine  and  Google  searching  engine.  The  previous  studies  about “MQ-Construction”  is  so  rare  that  we  could  hardly  find  much  special  discussion about it, let alone to explain its cognitive mechanism. Some related papers could be found  in  CNKI  and  some  of  them  have  explained  the  generating  mechanism  of  its objective,  which  is  beneficial  to  our  study.  So  far,  no  one  has  categorized  this construction  into  the  counter-expectation  constructions  and  given  a  explanation  for its syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features. In order to bridge the gaps, the paper aims to attain the following purposes:   (1)  to  categorize  the  construction  “MQ-Construction”  into  the  counter-expectation constructions  and  make  the  review  and  comments  on  counter-expectation constructions.   (2)  to  explain  the  inner  generating  mechanism  of  the  different  types  of  the construction  “MQ-Construction”  by  the  Multiple  CRP  Theory  at  the  syntagmatic level, so as to bridge the gaps of the previous studies;    (3) to make clear the relationship among the different types of “MQ-Construction” by  using  the  Coercion-inheritance  Theory  at  the  paradigmatic  level,  as  to  integrate the three types of this construction into a whole;
