高职院校商务英语听说教学过程中任务型教学策略的实践
通过对学生问卷调查分析,笔者发现任务型教学法能激发学生听说英语的积极性,并能增强其听说英语的信心。最后笔者在实验结果的基础上进行了总结。
Chapter One Introduction
This study aims to find the effectiveness of task-based teaching method in teaching of business English listening&speaking at vocational colleges.In this chapter,the author explains the problems of teaching of business English listening&speaking,the objectives and significance of this study.What’s more,the Outline of this thesis is included in this part.
1.1 The Background
1.1.1 Problems of Teaching of Business English Listening&Speaking at Vocational Colleges
For a long time,China's English listening&speaking teaching has not attracted enough attention,which leads to a fact that for many students the abilities of reading and writing are much better than their listening&speaking abilities.Teaching at vocational colleges also has this kind of problems.As the students’average level in business English at vocational colleges is low,this"dumb English"situation is even worse.They have many problems as follows:
Firstly,in the teaching of business English,listening&speaking were not paid great attention by teachers and students.Some teachers do not realize the important role of it in the process of learning English and in the students’future business activities.So business English listening&speaking have not been given sufficient attention in the process of teaching at vocational colleges.
Secondly,for the teaching of listening,the traditional teaching mode still dominates the whole process:playback ago,the teacher often explains some of the words and makes the students listen with the relevant background material.And then the teacher turns on the recorder for students to listen carefully for about twice,and asks some comprehension questions,such as multiple choices or a non-essay question.After practice,the teacher will give answers and the last time is given to students to check their own reasons for wrong answers.In such a hearing environment,on the one hand,the listener can easily feel tired, bored,lose interest and passion;on the other hand,the dull classroom atmosphere,students’ emotional distress also make the teaching result ineffective.The traditional "teacher-centered"teaching mode,neglect the important role of modern teaching theory and methods in the process of teaching,therefore the effect of teaching will naturally not be satisfactory.
