At the start of the epic presented ancient Denmark’s third generation king, the king named King Hrothgurs, he was the king of Beowulf era. Like his ancestor, he was a good king. So the Grendel and ancient Denmark's war started. In Beowulf this epic, this was the first time mentioned about halls (Charles, 2001). Just because of King Hrothgurs set up the halls, it caught the sight by the monster Grendel. But during the celebration, a lord on purposed to match with Beowulf. The lord taunted that he had lost swimming competition. Beowulf was not angry with the lord and he said his heroic story in the competition (Davies, 2008). The halls of Hrothgurs symbolized the premonition of Beowulf raised to fame (Patterson, 2000).
In this epic, the second hall is Grandel mother’s halls. In this hall, Beowulf had a heavy fighting with Grandel mother. At last, Beowulf conquered Grandel’s mother. The war in the Grandel mother’s hall showed Beowulf brave. Grandel mother’s hall symbolized the success of Beowulf (Sklar, 2006). It also made the foundation to Beowulf became to the king.
In this epic, the third hall belonged to fiery dragon. In this hall had a treasure, but kept an eye on by the fiery dragon. In the hall, Beowulf and dragons fought with each other for three rounds. And finally Beowulf won by a deadly hit in the fiery dragon. Unfortunately, Beowulf was bite by the dragon and deadly venom into his body. In the hall of dragon, this was the climax of the epic. Just in the hall, the hero Beowulf lost his life (Young, 2009). In my opinion, the hall of the dragon is the most important hall in the epic. Not only showed the brave of Beowulf, but also could be concluded he was selfless.

Conclusion
In this epic, the author mentioned three halls in total. That was Hrothgurs’ hall, Grendel mother’s hall and fiery dragon’s hall. From where I stand, the first hall meant to the beginning of the Beowulf. The second hall made the foundation for Beowulf’s success. In the dragon’s hall, the war was the climax of the epic.
