摘要:本报告的主要目的是探讨网络游戏的市场营销组合。随着互联网技术的飞速发展,带来了繁荣的网络游戏,这是很多人放松的主要方式(许陈志建,苏艳花,朱柯聪,2009)。因此,有越来越多的客户的网络游戏。网络游戏公司之间的竞争是激烈的。他们不断推出新产品来取悦和吸引顾客。
Abstract
Research questions
The main purpose of this report is to explore the Marketing mix of the online game. With the rapid development of the internet technology, it brings the prosperity of the online game, which is a major way to relax for many people (Jyh-Jian Sheu, Yan-Hua Su, Ko-Tsung Chu, 2009). So there are more and more customers of online game. The competition between online game companies is fiercer. They keep introducing new products to please and attract customers. Since 1997, the online game has developed from the first-ever internet-based game to the 3D game. At that time, the join of many companies was helpful for the development of the online games industry. The prosperity of the industry also rescued the Korea’s crash economy.
With the prosperity of the online game, there appear more companies engaged in this industry, which products the competition worldwide. To make their product more popular, companies should pay attention to the marketing mix (Goyal, S., 2007). As it is known to all, marketing is the process to conduct market research, sell service or product to customers and advertising their products. It is the age of experience economy; the marketing activities can bring pleasing experience to customers. In this research, it analyses the data of consumer’s attributes and constructs method to forecast the behaviour of new online games’ consumers. To make a detail marketing mix, this paper focuses on the data collection and analysis. The object of this research is the favourite types of online games, customers’ motivation, the gaming crowd and the marketing suggestion.
Research process
After analysing the achievements of previous research while dealing a similar situation, it can gain the attributes of the online games consumers. According to the preparatory work, the important factors which are influential are modified and located. There is various researches focus on different problems in online game marketing, while their all pay attention to product range, market segment and targeting strategy.
To obtain the data in reality, two types of research were used in this report, which are exploratory research and descriptive research. In exploratory research, methods of data collection include secondary data analysis, case study and focus group interview (Bryman, A, 2008). The exploratory research is helpful to determine the best data collection method, research design and selection method. In this research, it invited 6 players for the focus group Marketing Assignment interview and obtained the secondary data from online game company and the internet.
Survey research is the only method that used in descriptive research. The descriptive research is also called statistical research(Bryman, A, 2008). It can describe characteristics and data about the phenomenon or the population being studied. The data from descriptive research is accurate, factual and systematic, which will be used for the averages, frequencies and other statistical calculations. In this research, the questionnaire was put on the website for customers to respond. There were 500 questionnaires are effective. Through those research’s methods, the data can be collected and analysed.
Central thesis
