摘要:本文是基于语料库的对于中国制造这一话题的话语分析研究。本文旨在使用语料库语言学的手段对文本进行批评性话语分析,以求揭示在中国制造这一话题当中体现的,话语文本与意识的关系。

linguistics and discourse analysis, as well as theModel of Extended Lexical Units in corpus linguistics. Finally, three studies which usecorpus in discourse analysis are reviewed from a critical perspective.


2.1 Ideology and Language意识形态和语言
Philosophers have been discussing the topic of thoughts and languages for centuries. ILanguages are generally considered as tools of controlling people’s emotions. However,as the linguist Stubbs puts it, the history lies between the fine written words andunvarnished reality. And there must be a gap between what has been received by humanbeings and the truth, because of different perspectives the writers hold (Stubbs, 1997: 9).Whorf and Sapir continue with the everlasting research. They claim that the model ofone’s native language determines thought, and people tend to view the world in categorieswhich are classified by the language (Whorf & Sapir, 1956). In this sense, the present study studies the relationship between language and thought at a general level. To be morespecific, how language functions to affect people’s conception towards the label of‘Made-in-China’? Besides, the theory of CDA is adopted for the interpretive purpose ofthe study, for it concentrates on ideology and power abuse, which suits exactly the criticalview of the present study.

Conclusion结论


The present study is weak in the following aspects: firstly, due to the limits of scale,the corpus is not big enough to perform a comprehensive analysis. Thus, conclusionsarrived at in this paper are not supported by a large quantity of texts. Secondly, the study isnot comprehensive due to the lack of investigation into anaphors. All the key phrasesexamined in the corpus may be named by ‘it’, ‘they’ or ‘them’ somewhere. Tags areneeded in order to fix the problem.
