4.1 The Use of Preposition IN, ON, AT
As the most commonly used prepositions, IN, ON, AT can represent the generalinformation of prepositions use to some extent. In this section, the use of IN, ON, AT arediscussed separately, including its use frequency and semantic meanings category. Firstly, we statistic the relevant data in SWECCL and COCA to get the overalldifferences of use frequency of preposition IN. And then, we statistic the data of eachsemantic meanings and discuss the differences of use frequency in detail. Table 4.1 represents the standard frequency of IN in SWECCL and COCA. It shows thatChinese college students use more preposition IN than native speakers. Chi-square test(P<0.01)indicated that there are very significant differences in two sets of data. The results fromthe present study indicated that some prepositions, like IN, ON, BESIDES, are overused byChinese college students, but some other prepositions are underused, such as under. The studyfurther proved that they use more preposition IN than native speakers.

Conclusion
5.1 Findings of the StudyThis paper researched the use of spatial prepositions IN, ON, AT committed by Chinesecollege students based on corpus and cognition frame. Based on the integration of qualitativeand quantitative methodologies, the study collected the data from SWECCL and COCA, andmade a comparative analysis. The author draws the following conclusions: (1) Compared withEnglish native speakers, Chinese college students overuse the original meanings ofpreposition IN and ON, but underuse the original meanings of preposition AT. (2) Comparedwith English native speakers, Chinese college students overuse the prepositions’ simplemetaphor meanings and some fixed phrases, but the use lacks diversities.
