From the table 5.2, the researcher knows that 65 students choose “ Yes”,which accounts for 92.9%. 5 students choose “No”, which accounts for 7.1%. This suggeststhat students in primary schools are very fond of game activities in English class. The resultsare consistent with presupposition and experience. The fourth question is that “Do you think whether game activities can improve yourconfidence in English learning?” mentioned in the questionnaire. According to the table 5.4,56 students choose “Yes”, which accounts for 80%. 10 students choose “No”, which accountsfor 14.3%. Another 4 students choose “not sure”, which accounts for 5.7%. This states thatstudents in primary schools realize that they can get benefits from game activities, they cangain confidence in English learning.

Conclusion

1. Using game becomes a popular tool to teach and learn English in primary schools. Onthe basis of the findings on games, this thesis shows that applying games into the Englishteaching can cultivate students’ interest. From the results of the study we know that gamesteaching is a good method to teach and learn, which can be used and developed. That is to say,it is a feasible way to learn English in primary schools.
2. There are many suggestions for teachers when they use the game in their teaching.First and foremost the teachers should arrange and organize appropriate games at the righttime, which can provide meaningful, enjoyable environment to practice new knowledge. Theresearcher firmly believes that games teaching are more effective way to teach than atraditional way, especially in the students’ participation. Secondly, English teachers shouldconsider students’ physiological and psychological characteristics, try their best to adjust totheir teaching method and help students to learn English with great interest. There are manyadvantages of primary schools students in learning such as their strong imitative ability,thirsting for knowledge, good memory, strong desire in setting an example, creative spirit andlittle psychological pressure. However, they also have some disadvantages.
