所有人都不同。例如,他们有不同的肤色,不同的种族,不同的宗教。但是他们的差异远不止这些。人属于不同的道德群体,有不同的生活经验,甚至是性倾向。此外,他们有着不同的年龄、性别以及他们的教育程度也不相同。这些差异,以及它们不同的生理和心理的能力,性格,就导致不同的人之间的差异。人们会有不同的生活和工作的期望,每个人采取的方法也会不同。因此管理工作场所的多样性是一个重要的问题。


管理多样性的概念包括要肯定所有的员工都是杰出的人才,他们可能对于完成相同的工作进行不同的方法,但是可能会带来高效能。因此,管理工作场所的多样性的核心点就是要了解每位员工的优点在哪里。在这份报告中我们将谈论管理多样性的重要性以及如何成功管理工作场所的多样性。


All people are different from each other. For example, they come from different skin colors, different races, and different religions. However, their differences are far more than these. People would belong to different ethical groups; have different military experience and maybe sexual orientation. What’s more, they are different in age, gender, and have different education levels. These differences, along with their different physical and mental abilities, and personalities, may well result in diversity among different people. People will have different life and work expectations, and conduct different approach to their work. Therefore, to manage diversity in the workplace becomes an important issue.


The concept of managing diversity includes an understanding that all employees are distinguished individuals and they may conduct different approaches to the same work which may well lead to much more efficiencies and effectiveness (Iryna, 2009). Therefore, managing diversity in the workplace poses a huge possibility for an organization to take more advantages of its employees.


In this report, we are going to talk about the importance of managing diversity and the strategies to successfully manage diversity in the workplace.


Nowadays, the world is keeping developing, and cultural diversity has become a more and more heated topic with the process of globalization. Since there is fierce competition among different organizations, it’s no doubt that the organization has to perform better human resource management to keep an edge over its competitors (Iryna, 2009). One of the human resource management issues that is attracting more and more focus is that of managing diversity in the workplace. In fact, managers should have an overall idea about their employees, including their needs, attitudes, values, and motivation communication styles.


Actually, organization are becoming more and more internalized and globalized with the process of world development and globalization. Employees are getting the opportunity to know many more different cultures in their workplace, which constitute an important driver for change within the organization. Therefore, it emphasizes the importance of managing diversity in the workplace.


What’s more, diversity in the workplace has already been identified as a little cost, huge profit value for organizations and small enterprises. For employees, their efforts to build diversity in the workplace contribute to a safer and more meaningful working environment. For employers, management of diversity in the workplace helps them show to their employees that they are equally valued and recognized. Besides, managing diversity in the workplace will attract more and more qualified employees for the organization.
