As discussed above in literature review that decision of expatriate adjustment depends on the adjustment of spouse. Mr. Ammad made this point that adjustment of spouse in different country is directly related to the adjustment of expatriate. There is no doubt that the family and spouse of an expatriate affect the performance of an individual. As discussed above in the chapter of literature review that the job of the spouse affects the performance of expatriate.
So this is another important factor which most of the organizations look into before selecting expatriate, and this makes the process for selection more important because if this factor is not considered then the end result will be harmful for the organization.

Have you found that lack of cultural adaptation has resulted in expatriate failure?
According to the Mr. Sohail in this rapidly changing global world the factor of culture still affects the performance of individual and sometimes it is a bit hard for an individual to adjust him/herself in different culture. So obviously yes culture has great importance in selection of an expatriate. An expatriate should have ability to adapt with the different culture to gain competitive advantage internationally. So there should be proper cross cultural training for an expatriate before going for the international assignment.
Mr. Ammad said that the factor of culture is always important for an expatriate in foreign country. Because it is difficult for an individual to adjust in different culture away from his/her own country, so the factor of culture is one of the most important factor while selecting an expatriate. Although the world has become global village and the factor of culture has become less different between the nations but even then there are some moral values which differ between the nations. But even then the cultural difference for an expatriate is very important and HR managers and selectors of organizations should look at this factor while selecting an expatriate for international assignment.
Most of the times managers do not have ability to adjust in different cultures which can be harmful for both expatriate and organization as well, According to Yahya that the weather and geographical conditions of the country also affects the corporate culture of organizations which is difficult to changed.
