Another important factor which is considered while selecting an expatriate is cross cultural adaptation. In the above chapter of literature review this factor is discussed in detail. Culture has great importance while selection of expatriate because culture always affects the performance of expatriate and adjustment in another culture is always very difficult task for any expatriate.


Corporate culture is also very important factor which is needed to consider while selecting an expatriate, as it is proved from that corporate culture affects the performance of an expatriate. Hoefsted and tropenaars cultural dimensions are mainly focused on the corporate cultures of different organizations and it is shown that how in different corporate cultures there are different ways of communication between employees and how they are different in working style.


All the above factors shows the importance of expatriate for an organization, as expatriate is the one which represents organization in international market, so the expatriates has great importance for any organization. As mentioned in the chapter of literature review that previous literature also shows the importance of an expatriate for the organization. As according to the Brewster that rapidly globalizing world has forced the organizations to consider the factor of international experience for the top management and take this as a prerequisite for the promotion of the top managers.


Cross cultural adaptability is another important factor without which there is possibility of failure of expatriates. This is another important finding in this study, so the HR managers should keep in mind the factor of cross cultural suitability while selecting the expatriate.


As discussed above in research question 3 the importance of selection process is discussed in detail. The selection process is one of very important process for the expatriate, because if the expatriate is properly selected then he/she can give a lot of benefit to the organization and helps the organization to achieve its short and long term goals and objectives.


If the proper selection technique for the expatriate is not implemented in the organization then the result will be much poor for the organization. Because it is always necessary for an organization to select right person for the required job and in case of expatriate it is more important to use the proper method and to consider all the factors which can affect the performance of expatriate.


Chapter 5: Conclusion and Recommendations


5.1 Conclusion:


As the world is changing every day and the change is coming at every minute. New technology and science has shortened the long distances both physically and mentally. This all progress is leading the world towards globalization. The world has globalize now and globalization has become a very necessary tool for the companies and organizations to be successful in domestic and foreign market.
