摘要:人性教师信仰在教学中的重要性及丰富的研究已经引起广泛的注意。教师的信念不是静态的,而是动态的,逐步开发在实际教学中,根据学生信仰。人的信仰的形成促进了教学的成功,学生的兴趣、能力、态度等,都具有重大的影响。

g experiences in school,we can fully realize that the teachers can stimulate statements’learning in various ways, which are far beyond bare knowledgetransmission. For example, method-teaching, encouragement, moti vating, revealing personal interests, promoting self-esteem and thearrangement of appropriate learning context.Mediation, according to Vygotsky and his followers, serves astools, referring to anything helping to facilitate the process of learn ing, either in the way of solving a problem or in the way of achiev ing a certain goal, among which, symbolic language is the most im portant (Kozulin,1990). Meditational language should be properlyemployed to assist learners in reaching their field of ZPD.


3 The Significance of Teachers’Beliefs教师信仰的意义


Schools are all in the hope of high expectation for students.Yet, in reality, practices are not always in conformity to what is an nounced. While certain schools and teachers show high expecta tions indiscriminately to all students, some others pin their hopesonly on certain students with the left ones obtaining minimal expec tations. This phenomenon is especially prevalent in many universi ties and colleges. It worth mentioning that teachers’expectationfor students and assumptions about their potential advantage haveimmediate impact on student’s development.While committing themselves to language teaching and learn ing, the teachers should endeavor to form an in-depth and compre hensive understanding of their students as well as the surroundingscontributing to the shaping and molding of their the ideas, valuesand orientations toward schooling. The teachers then can fully beaware of the diversity of the students after having had an under standing of them. An array of strategies can then be corresponding ly developed to deal with it. The responsibilities of the teachersshould not only be confined to the cognitive capacity of their stu dents. They should meanwhile be concerned with their motivation,self-concept, peer relationships, aspiration as well as the develop ment of personal character.While well grasping the subjects they teach, teachers shouldattach equal importance to inter-disciplinary learning. The combi nation of different disciplines stands for the collective wisdom ofour own culture and plays a prominent role in maintaining disci plinary integrity by coordinating substance, methods and structuresof disciplinary knowledge. They are highly skilled in so- calledpedagogical content knowledge, involving the best technique of pre senting to the students the subject matter by means of analogies, ex periments, metaphors, illustrations and demonstrations.Teachers reach their goals by employing appropriate methods.They can change instructional settings by utilizing a range of in structional materials. They also have access to various human re sources to create virtual working environment catering to the specif ic needs of students. Regularly, the teachers will evaluate stu dents’progress by tracking their progress with various evaluativemethods, each having its own strengths, weakness, and set of pur poses.

Abundant researches have noticed the importance of teach ers’beliefs for the students. Teacher’s belief is not a static notionbut dynamic one, which gradually develop in the practical teach ing, according to the students’reflection.
