This section presents the status quo and problems of pre-service Englishteachers’perceptions of TPACK and integrating technology into ELT.
5.1.1 Teachers’Perceptions of TPACK
This section describes and analyses the teachers’perceptions of TPACK.
1)Overall Descriptive Statistics
In Table 5.1,the average value of perceptions of TPACK is 1.86,between 1(completely agree)and 2(agree),which indicates that the status quo of secondaryschool pre-service English teachers’perceptions of TPACK is good.

6.1 Major Findings
This empirical research aims to investigate the status and problems,the relationshipand the influential factors of pre-service English teachers’perceptions and practices ofintegrating technology into ELT by means of the survey with a questionnaire,interviewsand classroom observation,and the major findings are summarized as follows:
1)Secondary school pre-service English teachers’perceptions of integratingtechnology into ELT
Generally,the teachers’perceptions of integrating technology into ELT are good.Specifically,they have positive attitudes towards integrating technology into ELT andtheir perceptions are good in understanding the role of,tendency to,awareness of,willingness to and attention to integrating technology into ELT.However,theirperceptions in questionnaire survey(good)are inconsistent with those in interviews(notgood)in their understanding of the terms,definitions,composition and characteristics ofTPACK,and self-efficacy of technology integration.
2)Secondary school pre-service English teachers’practices of integratingtechnology into ELT
