Keller &Daniell define post-modernism as a thinking which opposite to traditional belief, and this kind of thinking is a metaphysicsandtry to challenge the assumption of the truth（2002）.Post-modernists put efforts to break and challenge logocentrism and phonocentrism. They throw doubt on fixed causal structure and challenge the fidelityof origin as well as truth that have been told to us. In the theories of post-modernism, truth is considered as people’s imagination that is affected by the ways it presents to audiences (LeGuin1969).Therefore, no ‘truth’ should be trust forever and we should keep finding the truth. Lyotard (1984) think that the connotations of truth are affected by the identity of the message senders and different dissemination conditions, so the performance of truth is multivariate and diverse. In post-modern society, researchers should keep suspecting and revise their experimentation for seeking the fidelity of truth. Therefore, it can be said that post-modernism is arguing for the absolute dominance of scientific knowledge, but it is not oppose to Science and the rationality of knowledge.

As for feminism, that is a concept aims to achieve gender equality. In the 20-century, women in Western countries still situated in a lower position when compare with men though they had the same political rights with men. To understand the questions of gender inequality and gender power, feminist movements try to analyze the differences of men and women, and the binary opposition (the differences between men and women) wasemphasized. To clarify feminism, Harding（1987）define Feminist epistemology as feminist empiricism, feminist standpoint and feminist postmodernism. Feminist Empiricism explained that the social prejudices on gender issues is because of people’s wrong belief about male and female, then those prejudices will distort the result of the gender research. Different to Feminist Empiricism, Feminist Standpoint pays attention to the experience and situation of the person and thinks that are the factors affect knowledge construct. At the same time, Feminist Standpoint is highlighting theBinary Opposition between men and women. Women are expected to have critical perceptions which are different from men because they are in the ignored and marginalized position (Letherby 2003).On the other hand, Feminist postmodernism emphasize critical reasoning. It work as post-modernism and criticize grand narrative as well as totalizing discourse because that cannot reflect the truthcomprehensively.Leonard (2001) point out that Feminist research usually gets their result from random and controlledexperimentation.As the study of audiences perceptions in beauty contest for men, the result of the interview is seems controlled. Most of the interviewees have influenced by Social prejudices and they have fixed imagination to masculinity and femininity. Therefore, they do not agree the statement ‘beauty contest for young men would affect the image of an ideal man in people view’. Nevertheless, most of the interviewees are educated and they know should have opened mind because of their situations,
