Nowadays scientific knowledge is doubted to under the influence of power and money (Spretnak1999). TheBinary Opposition between men and women was inappropriate for the post-modern society. Thus, Foucault suggests that researchers should analyze the objects with different standpoints, but not explore the truth from single level structure and believe the fixed causal structure (2014).Derrida(2012) also mentions that to be responsible and ethical to the research isnever satisfy the ‘truth’ we gained. With the advance of the times, audiences already got some different and special opinions on gender issues. They started to think about and doubt the necessity of theBinary Opposition between men and women. Reinharz（1992） express that feminism is a perspective on female study, but not a method. On the other words, there are diverse female perspectives on social research. If researchers pay attention to women’s objective experience and the relationship between gender and social class, then the social prejudices will be broken. In the study of audience perceptions inbeauty contest for young men, interviewees showed their contradictive thinking because they are stranded in the trap of gender identity. Beauvoir (1953) said that women were constructed but not born with this identity. Riviere (1929) also said that women create a womanlinessto fulfill the requirement of femininity which is built up by the society, actually ‘women’ do not exist. If ‘women’s identity’ is constructed by the history and the society, can we say that ‘men’s identity’ also is constructed and the Binary Opposition between men and women is meaningless? Connell (2005) point out that the system structures are framing and influenced the construction of masculinity. In nowadays society, consumption and people relationship is characterizing social structures, and then people need to build a new characteristic and identity to satisfy the social needs (Riesman 1973).Thus, we should not be confused by gender identity. AsLacan said everyone is a ‘speaking being’, a ‘sexed subject’ only, so men and women is complementarity (2000). Emphasizing the difference between sexual identity and the Binary Opposition between men and women might make we focus on the questions about ‘What should men do? What should women do?’ Therefore, only seek the difference of gender identity is meaningless.

However, feminism and the research perspective are still affecting researchers and the public. Most of the people still pay attention to the Binary Opposition between men and women. Therefore, beauty contest for young men is claimed as the damage of masculinity.
