摘要:为了解决在调查中发现的当今大学生在英语学习中存在的问题,我们需要改变学生的观念,提高他们的学习意识,塑造学生的归因,失败归咎于缺乏努力和战略,同时也需要给予一定的反馈;其次就是激发学生的内在兴趣,进行有趣的课堂教学,创造课外学习环境和改革考核制度;最后需完善学生的学习自主性,包括心理准备和技术准备。

4.2 Research Questions
We have interviewed two groups of students, English major and Non-English major students. All students were required to answer all the questions according to their own situations. For convenience, we just summarize and show the typical answers for analysis. Research questions will be listed here:
(1) Whether there exists motivation in English learning in your university?
(2) What’s your motivation of English learning?
(3) In what aspects does motivation occur in these students’ English learning?
(4) Are you satisfied with your effectiveness in English learning?
4.2.1 Existence of Influence of Motivation in English Learning
Most of the interviewees indicated that motivation did exist in their English learning to a larger or small extent.
English major students: Of course, if you don't have good motivation, you wouldn’t be hard working. As an English major, everyone wants to improve his level on English speaking, writing, listening and translating.
Non-English major student 1: Yes, we need motivation before we go to start a business, maybe just like interest; this is the key to open your work.
Non-English major student 2: To me, motivation surely influences my English learning; I think I need this power to support my learning.
From the above quotations, we can see that motivation is the key and power to support their English learning. Obviously, motivation is the basic factor appears in English learning.
4.2.2 Motivation of English Learning
To this question, the answer from English major students is different from that of Non-English major students.
English major students: I think every English major would love English, so we have chosen this major. As English majors, our motivation in English learning is pure; we want to grasp this tool to help others.
Non-English major student 1: I am a News major student; I want to be a journalist after graduation. You will use
English everywhere in society now, so not only English-majors need to learn English, all of university students should improve their English. We should combine our major with English that is the best way to use English.
Non-English major student 2: I don’t like to learn English, but we need pass CET 4 and CET 6, so we must learn that. I have passed CET 4, my motivation is going to pass these examinations and show this certificate to get a good job.
Non-English major student 3: I don’t have any interest in English, I will be very happy to pass the English exam every term. No motivation can attract me to learn English; maybe I am talent less I
this area.
From these answers, we can see English majors have clear motivation and goal in their learning, and the motivation encourages them to understand what they should do in their daily study. A lot of Non-English major students also have their mot
