Chapter Four Results and Analysis


4.1 Results and Analysis of Questionnaires
The pre-questionnaire was carried out on January 4, 2012. 42 students of theexperiment class filled out the questionnaire. The researcher requested students to finish it in15 minutes. The post-questionnaire was carried out on June 28, 2012. The students whoattended the post-questionnaire were the same as the students in the pre-questionnaire. Thetime of the post-questionnaire is 10 minutes. The researcher told students the purposes ofquestionnaire and asked them to express their authentic ideas and views. Attitude of thestudents was active and willing. After finished questionnaires, the researcher checked all ofquestionnaires and found that they were effective.

Conclusion


According to the results of the experiment, the data analysis of the tests, the interviewand the records of the classroom observation, the researcher draw a conclusion that thehierarchical teaching is better than the traditional teaching for students in a secondaryvocational school.The purpose of the research is to test the effectiveness of the hierarchical teaching forstudents in a secondary vocational school. The experiment lasted one term, 20 weeks. Theresearcher did lots of work in the experiment. At first, the researcher consulted thehead-teacher and other teachers of the experiment class to know about the real situation ofstudents. Secondly, the researcher sought for opinions to other English in order to formulatethe concrete implement project of the hierarchical teaching. Thirdly, the researcher referred toa plenty of relevant materials to summarize the former research experiences. In addition, theresearcher visited the students of the experiment class to understand their ideological trendand attitude towards English. Through the experiment, it fully proves the effectiveness of thehierarchical teaching for students in the secondary vocational school. The three researchhypotheses have been already verified.
