Conclusion

From the research status at home and aboard in chapter one, it can be referred that there are few studies on the interpreting strategies of culture-loaded expressions from the perspective of Interpretive Theory. With the ever-increasing international exchanges of China with othe r countries and the widely application of culture-loaded expressions in  press co nference,  there  are m uch  more  calls for specialized and higher qualified interpreting activities. However, the interpretation of them poses a great challenge to interpreters and exerts vital influence on the quality of interpretation. This is the starting point of this thesis. As one of the most frequently quoted theories, Interpretive Theory emphasizes the communicative nature of interpreting and translation. Its essential concept is to capture the  sense deverbalized from  the origin al  language form ,  produce the communicative sense  with the invo lvement  of  cognitive  complements  as well as r e-express  them completely to the target audiences with accuracy. Under the guidance of Interpretive Theory , the author carried out a study on the interpreting  of  culture-loaded  expressions  with  examples  based on the corpus of culture-loaded  expressions at the National People’ s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held from 2010-2014. This study conducted an analysis on the interpreting dif ficulties and put forward som e strategies such  as “identification of m ain  ideas”,  “application  of extra-linguistic knowledge” in comprehension, “maximizing the usage of memory storage” in deverbalization and five strategies  in  re-expression:  “utilizing  corresponding  cultural expression s”,  “achieving general equivalence”, “adopting  free interpreting”, “adopting contextual interpreting”, and “adjusting logic relationship”.
