demicself-efficacy or academic self-efficacy is the manifestation of self-efficacy in the field oflearning. Based on the theory of self-efficacy, Bouffard-Bouchard, Parent & Larivee (1991)defined academic self-efficacy as the evaluation of the extent of self-confidence whether alearner can use their own ability or skills to complete the learning task. In other words, it is asubjective judgment that an individual controls their learning behavior and ability. At home, Bian Yufang (2004) defined perceived academic self-efficacy as the individual’sbelief in their academic ability. It refers to the learners’ evaluation on the degree of confidencein their ability or skill which they use to complete the learning task. It is a subjectivejudgment and subjective feeling of the individual to control their learning behavior and thecapacity to accomplish academic achievement, which is the display of self-efficacy in thefield of learning. And Guo Benyu & Jiang Feiyue (2008) defined perceived academicself-efficacy as students’ subjective evaluation on their own ability of learning and completinghomework in the learning activities.

2.2 Theoretical Basis
The theory of self-efficacy is one component of Albert Bandura’s Social CognitiveTheory. In his book Social Foundations of Thought and Action, Albert Bandura (1986) wrotethat individuals possess a self-system that enables them to exercise a measure of control overtheir thoughts, feelings, and actions. This self-system consists of cognitive and affectionstructures of an individual and includes the abilities to learn from others, plan alternativestrategies, regulate one's own behavior, and engage in self-reflection.According to this foundation, Albert Bandura (1986) considered self-reflection as themost uniquely human capability, for through this form of self-referent thought people evaluateor alter their own thinking and behavior. These self-evaluations contain perceptions of self-efficacy, that is, 'beliefs in one's capabilities to organize and execute the courses of actionrequired to manage prospective situations' (Albert Bandura, 1997). These beliefs of personalcompetence affect behavior in several ways. They will have an impact on the choices thatindividuals make and the courses of actions they pursue. Efficacy beliefs will help determinehow much effort people expend on an activity, how long they will persevere when confrontingobstacles, and how resilient they will prove facing negative situations. The higher the sense ofefficacy is, the greater the effort, persistence, and resilience are.
