looming period, translation teaching faces both opportunities andchallenges. Information interchangeability influences translation teaching in manyaspects, including the challenges to the traditional translation standard of “be faithful tothe original author”, different kinds of translation object, the change in translationmethods and skills, “machine translation system” and translation teaching and theappearance of electronic textbooks. In order to adapt to this atmosphere, TranslationVariation should be emphasized in translation teaching procedures. Only in this way,can translation teaching satisfy the demand of the development of our society. We all1.2 Research Significance and Purposerealize that translation teachers and researchers should have new perspectives andemploy new thinking methods to meet market demand. Therefore, we still need to studynew technology for the development of our society.This thesis focuses on TVT and its integration into translation teaching. It aims at aresearch of using the creative and effective translation theory widely to the translationteaching in order to achieve a positive effect in educating more and more high qualifiedtranslation personnel for each and every country to satisfy the needs of theinformational times. And at the same time, TVT can be checked by translation practicein order to improve, enrich and perfect itself, and then give more effective guidance topractice, but my opinion is subjective to some extent, and the hypothesis is necessary tobe checked out through a series of teaching procedures. To test this issue clearly, I makea good preparation and adopt scientific methods for the experiment.

 

1.3 Organization of the Thesis
After doing the experiment and analyzing relevant data by the author scientifically,the thesis is completed. The thesis includes five chapters in all.In Chapter One, the author introduces the overview of the research. So it can beseen as the introductory part of the whole thesis. This chapter mainly talks about threeaspects: the first aspect is the research background of this thesis; the second aspect is theresearch significance and purpose, and the last aspect is the organization of the thesis. Inchapter two, the author gives a literature review of the research. Chapter Two containsthree sections: current situation of translation teaching in Chinese higher vocationalcollege, current research situation of Translation Variation, and Translation VariationTheory itself. In this chapter, the researcher gives a summary about the development ofTranslation Variation and nowadays vocational college. This chapter also illustrates thetheoretical framework of translation, the definition and essence of Translation Variation,the principle and meaning of Translation Variation, and the comparison betweenTranslation Variation and CT. Chapter Three is about Translation Variation andtranslation teaching in vocational college. This part stresses the advantage ofTranslation Variation. In this chapter, the author also points out the necessity and thepurposes of applying TVT to translation teaching and the procedures for teachingtranslation through translation variation theory.Chapter Four is research methodology. After the introduction of TVT-basedteaching approach, it is very necessary to test its validity in practice.
