摘要:根据第二语言习得理论(简称SLA),语言输入是语言学习的最基本的条件。正如一个谚语所说,没有语言输入,没有语言习得。作为一种输入技能,在学生的语言学习上,听力有很重要的地位。SLA听力理解是一个重要的学习部分,作为语言输入方法,SLA被公认为最重要的学习方法,SLA听力在语言的学习上得到了越来越多的关注。一个著名教授声称,第二语言教学中认为,听力理解在英语学习的过程中是十分重要的,甚至是最重要的。许多学者因此开始研究哪些因素是影响SLA听力理解的重要因素,但是他们把更多的注意力集中在自学的学习上,而没有考虑到变量之间的交互过程。

e above that different researchers has different opinions on the learner factors. But most researchers believe that the following factors caused the individual differences: age, intelligence, language aptitude, cognitive personality traits, motivation, learning strategies and learning concepts.


This research concerns on the modifiable factors and choose three the most important affective factors in SL listening---listening motivation, listening strategy and SL proficiency to give a detailed account. The three factors will be intensive studied in the next chapter.


3. Learner's Factors in SL Listening Comprehension


InSLAresearch, the study of learner factors plays an important role. In this paper, discussion will be restricted to three general learner factors which have received the most attention inSLAresearch, namely listening motivation, listening strategy and SL proficiency. We make an empirical study on these factors finding their independent influence on SL listening achievement and contact with each other, and having a interaction of the three factors to SL listening. We will briefly introduce respectively the three learner factors as follows.


3.1. Listening Motivation


According to the point of Psychology, motivation refers to promote people’s activities and is the internal dynamics that help people to get their target. Motivation is one of the main factors influencing SL learning. A lot of scholar have investigated the nature and the role of motivation in the SL learning process for really a long time.


Listening teachers and researchers all regard motivation as “a key factor in SL learning”. On the research of Brown[6], he claims that “Motivation is probably the most frequently used catch-all term for explaining the success or failure of virtually any complex task”. According toGardnerand Lambert[7], motivation is the extent to which an individual works or strives to learn the language because of a desire to do so and the satisfaction experience in SL listening.


In the past two decades, our Chinese researchers did a few studies in SL listening. On the study of Qin Xiaoqing and Wen Qiufang[8], they studied what is the affecting mode of motivation elements to motivation behavior in ourSLA. They found that learning interest, self-efficacy, long-term purpose, goal oritention, causal attribution, short-term purpose, previous second language achievement and so on are all the motivation behaviors.


So what is the definition of the listening motivation? Listening motivation is the desire to achieve learning goals and is a good attitude to language study.
