From now on, Pi and Richard Parker become the last survivors in marine peril, and that  means  Pi  still does not get  rid of life threatening. Even  if Pi  is a  boy  who grows up in the zoo, he does not have the experience to dispose of an adult Bengali tiger in the condition that does not have food, water, weapon or tool. Maybe for that reason, he decides to survive with Richard Parker, and it is exactly this decision that supports him to learn fishing, catching marine organism, and collecting fresh water to maintain their life.

2.1 Ethical literary criticism 
Ethics is the philosophical theory to study morality in society (Luo, 2014: 1).
