Even though many theorists have different definitions of the term, they generally agree that the birth hour of the information society can be placed in the 1970s and that it has a huge impact on our society and on the production and duplication of information until nowadays. The information could also refer to intangible labor. Besides, it has to be mentioned that, like for most things in life, information and the term information society may have another side of the coin since it can't be excluded that information, and with it the information society, can be destructive and dangerous if it is based on mistakes or disinformation.

2.4 The Relationship and Trends of Globalization and Information Society
As suggested earlier, Daniel Bell (1973) indicated that as a social form, it (i.e., “the post-industrial society”) would be a major feature of the twenty-first century, in the structures of the United States, Japan, the Soviet Union, and Western Europe. But since late 1990s, he has mixed the term “post-industrial society” with the word “information society”. And with the coupling of Information Technology and Communication Technology, not only those countries just mentioned, but also other developed and advanced developing countries have shown some aspects of the “information society”. Of course, it is closely related to the readjustment of capitalist world economy to the new environment since 1970s. And now, we can see the ICT everywhere, and in our daily lives.

However, globalization was not the cure-all solution even for the advanced countries. It is true that it also has some negative impact. Multinational corporations partially lay off workers in their respective home countries and made use of human capital and the workforce in developing countries while investing foreign direct investment and commencing outsourcing and production in other countries. Also, another reason why globalization may leave a negative mark is that products in the host countries have to compete with products from around the world as a cause of the ongoing globalization and liberalization of market across borders. Last but not least, some labor intensive processes in producing goods were partially replaced with the help of technology and computerization.

As a result, developed countries are looking for even more countermeasures on their own to compete with the shift of comparative advantage across borders , and the computerization of society is one of them. Surely, with the ongoing computerization of society and globalization, such competitive advantage of the state has taken preference over others that most social organizations including business corporations should adapt themselves to the changing new circumstances. First of all, most organizations are committed to articulate new information and communication technology with replacing the existing one, on account of the unlimited competitiveness for survival. Of course, the new ICT are somewhat related to the restructuration of existing organizations, hence the emergence of new forms of organizations.
