Executive Summary
The economy is mainly driven by financial profit in a global market, low production cost and high turnover are often described as the most important business objective while neglecting the moral values when companies making investments. Therefore the concept of ethical and sustainable investment plays a vital role in the society.
本报告的目的是分析相互关系的伦理投资和可持续发展的投资负责任的投资前景而牺牲的金融。随后，政府的作用，以促进和执法，使企业在道德的方式行事也进行了讨论，政府在贯彻执行国家法律，限制企业做不道德的行为起着重要的作用。
The aim of this report is to analyse inter relationship between ethical investment and sustainable investment in the prospect of investing responsibly without making a financial sacrifice. Subsequently, government role to promote and enforce law to make companies act in an ethical way also has also been discussed as government plays an important role in implementing laws which restrict businesses to do unethical practises.
In the report, we have also discussed if there is any difference between ethical and sustainable investment and we concluded that their purpose is same and nowadays, ethical investment become a part of sustainable investment
The paper also shows some limitations of SRI that there are no universal measures or standard to define an investment ethical or sustainable. Also, there is absence of a uniform perspective and lack of information about different companies that can be used to analyse if an investment was made responsibly.
The results of the report demonstrate that government is yet to practise SRI as their policy to stop unethical investment in the economy. In addition to that voluntary involvement of different organisations in contributing sustainable investment is not sufficient; it needs to be practise as mainstream for the greater benefit of society and environment. 
1. Introduction
Business ethics and sustainability has become major concerns of the modern world. As world economy is growing rapidly and having a multi dimensional impact on the society, environment and other component of sustainability; it has become very crucial to look back into investing responsibly. The purpose of this report is to examine business ethics that effect investment and possibility of investing responsibly without making any financial sacrifice.  The relevant issues that has been discussed here is ethical and sustainable investment, socially responsible investment (SRI) and different aspect that has greater influence on investing responsibly. This report also criticised government role in different economy as government can be a significant player which can control and promote ethical investment. However, the voluntary participations of different companies in promoting investing responsibly need to come to mainstream to make it a greater success.

2. Ethical and Sustainable Investment
Ethical investment and Sustainable Investment are becoming increasingly popular in the financial markets. Investors are highly concerned about the way the companies are performing and investing ethically. Ethical investment is also known as socially responsible investment. The term was first originally used in the 19th century by religious group in the United States.
