With my great interests in electronic world, excellent academic background, strong practical ability, independent research capability and developed communication skills, I’m ready for the further study in electronic field and I would like to apply for the master of electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University.

Singapore is a very diverse and young country which possesses a good social environment. Nanyang Technological University is world's largest engineering college. In 2011, QS World University Rankings ranked NTU among the top 100 universities in the world, which places it in the top 1% of universities globally. The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was one of the three founding schools of Nanyang Technological University. There are topnotch faculty, advanced research facilities and resources and dedicated research and study environment. I have been dreaming to have my master degree study at NTU since high school. I believe that the free research environment and modern facilities of NTU will greatly benefit me in my academic career. I could have better education and research platform that gives me the exposure to the cutting edge technology and science development trends. Also, this will be a good opportunity for me to learn the advanced combination of western and eastern practices and thinking logic which helps me develop a well-round person. My father, a principal engineer working at a Singapore semiconductors company, highly supports my decision.

After my graduation from NTU, I want to become a great engineer with independent thinking and innovation. I see myself work as a principal engineer, like my father, in a multinational technology company. Through my research and development work, I can bring next generation iPhone to end consumers, super power computing system for cloud, or 22nm or below chip for the semiconductor industry. At that time, the ‘magic things’ will not be the radio or traffic lights in my experiments but the advanced electronic products or equipment’s that go beyond people’s imagination. I clearly know that this will be an arduous and long campaign. I believe, however, Nanyang Technological University will be the best place that accelerates my study and development towards this aim!
