It might also generate more employment and better facility to the employees and local community, but might also cut down labour so more job losses as private players tend to minimise cost but cutting down jobs. Government may not think of privatisation as many people are against including the employees also the government thinks politically as it might loose its vote bank if it privatises most of its functions.

Local authorities may also enter into partnership or joint ventures with private players so it can reduce its cost and give better value for the money. This will also help to modify the available infrastructure at a low cost. It can always look forward to organisation like The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) who have in the past helped many projects to be completed in the UK. Private players can see this as a opportunity to get in more business and develop a strong relationship with the local authority and local people.
