2　掌握文体特点,不同文体的翻译原则不同
文体不同其语言风格就不同,比如经贸合同的语言非常精练、正式,有很多附加修饰成分。如:

译文:本公约须经签字国批准或接受。(英语用了shall,汉语翻译时为了表达这种非常正式的文体用“应……”、“须……”等词。)
Kindly tell us what steps you are going to take in the way of compensation for the damage.
译文:敬请告诉我方将以什么方式来补偿这次损失。(Kindly tell us...使得说话的语气显得十分客气。)
We would appreciate receiving details regarding the commodities.
译文:如能告诉该商品的详细情况,则不胜感激。

3　研究、把握英汉句子结构的差异
英汉两种语言的主要句子结构大致是相同的,然而也经常有比较大的差异,翻泽时需要慎重考虑。

译文:合营者的注册资本如果转让必须经合营各方同意。(英语的主语是any of the joint ventures“任何合营企业”,翻译成汉语时却将原文的一部分宾语变成了主语,因为英语中的主语要考虑能否作动词所表达的动作的执行者,汉语相对而言比较随便。)
