摘要:本文是英语词汇学论文,本研究尝试将三文治故事教学法与小学现行教材相结合,进一步挖掘“三文治故事教学法”的内涵价值,为小学真实的英语课堂教学提供参照与借鉴。
teaching for young learners in China when he participated in the tutorial seminar of the Communicative English in 1997. In this thesis, he firstly put forward the “sandwich methodology” in a formal way, which attracted a lot of attention of the experts in English teaching at home and abroad. In this thesis, Ji Yuhua pointed out that sandwich methodology is a kind of teaching method to teach a foreign language by storytelling through the combination of foreign language with the mother tongue. The name of this teaching method derives from the “sandwich”, typical western food. The teaching idea is: teachers should take advantage of the child’s nature of fond of listening to the story. Teachers are supposed to put the English words, phrases and sentences from less to more, from short to long, from easy to difficult in mixed subtly in the process of story telling by taking the child’s nature into consideration.

2.2 Characteristics of Sandwich Story Methodology
Sandwich is different from the traditional teaching of English, it always takes the story as the center and the medium, in addition, it insists on the principle “the words are taught in the sentences, the sentences are instructed in the texts, the stories are selected around the interest, the interest treats understanding as the premise, moreover, the understanding is supported by the mother tongue”. Compared with other teaching methods, it enjoys its own characteristics.
(1) Teaching materials are story-oriented. Its teaching style is to integrate the words and sentence patterns into the story. It fully grasps students’ characteristics of listening to stories and telling stories delightedly, therefore, it can capture the child’s learning interest. There is an old saying in the field of English education: Education must be fun. It means education should be fun for kids. Interest is the core of the sandwich teaching method, sandwich methodology selected the stories that are full of strong entertainment and fun, which make students happily learn English in the process of listening to stories as well as storytelling.
