? Places of accommodation in Jamaica that has 200 or more rooms. The research intends to obtain data from ten percentage (10%) of this population. This sample will be selected across the six resort areas in Jamaica: Kingston and the South Coast, Negril, Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Ocho Rios and Port Antonio.

In order to ensure validity of the data and reliability of the research method. a structured questionnaire will be used to collect the primary data from the employees and community groups / residents. This instrument was selected as it is best used to obtain information pertaining to marketing purposes, planning and policy matters as well as for academic research (Lucas, 1999). The questionnaire is also very resourceful in obtaining large amounts of quantitative data in an efficient way. The questions will be structured so as to ensure validity.
 
Face to face interview will also be conducted with the hotel mangers to garner pertinent data relevant to the research questions. This will give the interviewer the opportunity to clarify and restructure the questions
