摘要:世界经济一体化的发展趋势同样为全球企业的诞生提供了宏观环境。现时代的跨国企业更注重在全球范围内实现资源的最佳配置。对此,跨国企业对自身进行了大的改造,并逐渐向“以全球为市场,以全球为厂家,以各国为车间”的全球企业转变。因此虽然我们说全球企业是在跨国企业的基础上发展起来的,但它与跨国企业有很大的区别。

这份报告的目的是分析达美乐披萨集团的财务业绩与全球经济衰退的历史原因。尽管目前的经济环境并不好,但是他们的业绩表现依然很好。它成功的关键因素在于把不同的产品,良好的服务和一个有吸引力的形象有效的结合在一起。因此,尽管在不利的条件下,它依然可以创造奇迹。目前的市场会呈现出一种强烈的扩张势头,可持续性的经济收入将达到新的高度。因此本报告重点就是分析企业的财务业绩,利润、盈利能力、流动性和杠杆与经济数据,这些数据来自于2012年以公式和表格形式呈现的年度报告和账户。我们将会发现企业管理的缺陷,也将为其进一步发展提出合理化建议。


This report is made with the purpose of analyzing the financial performance of Domino’s Pizza Group with the global economic recession as its background. This Group displays a strong resilience despite the detrimental economic climate. The key ingredient to its success lie in that it regards diverse products, sound services and an attractive image as the pillars of achievements. Therefore, in spite of the unfavorable condition, it manages to perform wonders. It exhibits a strong momentum of expansion and continues to reach new heights in revenue. Thus, this report will illustrate its achievements in terms of revenues, profits, profitability, liquidity and gearing with economic data from Annual Reports and Accounts in the year of 2012 in the forms of formulas and tables. Considering the weaknesses in its managements, recommendations will also be offered for its further development.


The Domino’s Pizza company was established by American entrepreneur Tom Monaghan in 1960, during the process of expansion, it opened its first British branch in Luton in 1985. In 1993, the master franchise was sold off by the parent company to Domino’s Pizza Group in Britain masted by sibling investors Colin and Gerry Halpern(Murray,2001). In its brief history, the company has evolved into a United Kingdom-based master franchisee of international fast food pizza delivery company. The company holds the exclusive right to own, operate and franchise branches in Britain, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. In this business empire, the Group holds 805 stores distributed in four countries.
 
Lance Batchelor, the chief executive officer, said, most of the growth still lies ahead, UK has a plenty of scope for store growth, Germany and Switzerland are virgin land for our development(p6). To realize a sound development instead of blind expansion, the Group attaches great importance to product, service and image, which are deemed as the pillars of its success.

The following part will illustrate its success with concrete economic data from Annual Report &Accounts in the year of 2012.

With the mission to be the best pizza delivery company in Britain, Germany, Switzerland and Republic of Ireland, DPG is very careful in each step forward. Economic activities centering on pizza become the source of its revenues. To maximize profits, the company places great emphasis on the flavor and types of pizza. To improve the quality of product, DPG is in hot pursuit of high-quality ingredients and establishes long-term cooperative relationships with suppliers who meet this standard(p6). It is also creative in widening the variety of products so that it can hold the interest of regular customers and make new customers to have a try(Kate, 2002). It has 124 franchisees altogether, these devoted and pioneering franchisees are driving force for its success, they help to expand customer base and make more people know this brand(Dawber, 2008).
