Introduction
This essay critically evaluated the benefits and drawback to using coaching. Then it defined the coaching culture. Followed with a critically discuss the factors that support and inhibit a coaching culture. Finally, critically explain the possible future of coaching and mentoring in the workplace with the plenty of evidences.

In the book ‘Coaching for performance’, John Withmore identified some benefits of coaching (John,W, 2009, P156). Following are some of the most important benefits.

An important advantage of coaching is its flexibility. Many types of coaching are able to be finished via a telephone. Tele-seminars and video-seminars are available for the coachee. It is unnecessary for people to spend long time in attending the seminars. Coaching can adopt the people’s schedule in this way. People would be happy with this benefit so that they can arrange their own time. 
More creative
It is believed that coaching will improve the awareness of thinking and more open to new ideas. Building a coaching environment is quite necessary for the company. This would encourage people come up more and more creative ideas. People can work together in this collaborate environment and share the opinions and information easily. 

Faster and more effective response
Coaching is able to help people think about the solution of the problem in a friendly way. Coaching gives people tools which is able to analysis the situation quickly. People work in a more open atmosphere; they are willing to work more effective. However, people in some organizations just do as little as possible.

Drawbacks for using coaching
