During recent decades Energy related issues have become one of the most important focus areas of the economics of the world. This importance has arisen from the high impact of energy related issues on the economy of the developed and developing countries and the amount of the effect of the industrial energy consumption on economic situation and economic growth of variety of countries has been debating issue among economists. Many researchers and scientist after the first relevant study about the relationship of energy consumption and economic growth (Kraft and Kraft, 1978) has explored this causality in so many countries but none of has become to a unique conclusion. Using different models and different scopes of studies and different intervening variables has caused a distortion about the result of this causality.

Investigating about the effective factors on economic growth of countries is something which is not uniquely related to energy consumption and there are other factors that may affect the economic growth of countries. almost all previous conventional economic growth theories attribute economic growth to labor input and capital stock and a residual. but in recent studies the cost of energy as an input for economy has been detected by many researchers and energy consumption has become an influential factor that can be used as a substitution for labor directly or indirectly. In some instances, energy has been used as an external source to substitute for the labor input in technological processes (Pokrovski, 2003). In such cases,

Pokrovski (2003) proposes that, in the case where energy-driven equipment takes the place of

manual labor and acquires all the properties of a production factor, the production of output value can be determined by three production factors, namely, energy, capital services provided by the capital stock, and labor. In these instances, energy is used as a value-creating production factor.

Investigating the causality of the economic growth of countries and energy consumption without considering other influential factors may lead us to a distortional causality result. So for solving this problem here in this article we have tried to use trivariate instead of bivariate model. This kind of study has rarely done in Asia Pacific countries and especially ASEAN countries. So here we have tried to investigate the relationship of The three financial and economical factors which are economic growth, energy consumption and capital stock for five ASEAN countries which are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines using panel analysis model which in most cases is used for data series of more than one country.
