Conclusion
This thesis will use metacognitive strategies to provide guidance for online autonomousEnglish learning. The metacognitive strategies are divided into three periods: planning,implement and adjustment.
1. Planning Period: The panning period requires teachers to assist learners in orientingthemselves and setting their learning goal. First of all, it will enhance the awareness oflearners’ online learning and cultivate the consciousness and dynamic of their onlinemetacognitive learning. Then, it will guide learners to fully reflect their English learning by questionnaire, interview and discussion, which will help learners to make an objectiveassessment of their own language level, strategy application, learning style and attitude.
2. Implement Period: To conduct learners to monitor their own learning. Metacognitivemonitor means an individual can evaluate learning process continually, adjust arrangementtimely and choose methods correctly to ensure that the task can be fulfilled effectively.During students’ self-evaluation, supervisors can guide their monitor strategy.
