ect to the second research question regarding thefeatures of English majors' CT under RCWTM, the data analyses indicatethat the CT of English majors under RCWTM reflected in argumentativecompositions has got considerably improved in two parameters ofstandards for assessing cognitive part of CT that are relevance andcoherence as the progress of the grade while in the other two parametersof CT that are explicitness and sufficiency just show slightly better. Theresult almost achieves the aim of RCWTM that is cultivating Englishmajors' CT. In the class under RCWTM, some teachers often raiseproblems with CT to guide the students to have a discussion, so thestudents' CT has got better improved. In their English compositions, moststudents in the third grade can catch the topic completely and expresscoherently, at the same time, there are quite a few students who can notgive appropriate examples to support their arguments.
When answering the third research question regarding whether thereare some advantages of RCWTM in improving English majors' CT incomparison to CTM and what they are. The results reveal that there is onsignificant difference between the English majors' CT under RCWTM and CTM respectively reflected in their English argumentativecompositions. The English majors' CT under RCWTM is just slightlybetter than the English majors' CT under CTM.
