E-government has developed in China for more than 10 years and it has made some good results, China has become one of the countries in the world which invest most in e-government, Chinese government hopes to promote government process reengineering through the development of e-government, so as to achieve the purposes of lowering government administrative costs, improving administrative efficiency and transparency. However, it is worth noting that although China's e-government is in a period of rapid development, application of e-government in most areas is still in the infancy of releasing information or simple interaction, there are still many problems, of which the loose combination between e-government and government process is one of the main problems of e-government development in China, the problem is mainly reflected in that e-government and government process reengineering do not take the public as the center and they are not process-centric; they invest largely but acquire less; the information technology is not used properly. In this study, the author was through analysis on relevant data and information to point out that organizational structure, the government's performance appraisal system, the shortage of talents, the political system are the causes of the problems. Finally, the author was from information sharing, government process reengineering, performance evaluation, training awareness of public participation to bring forward for recommendations on the future development of Chinese e-government and government process reengineering.
