摘  要
弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫是二十世纪文学界最杰出的女性主义先驱之一。伍尔夫对于性别身份的强烈意识转化为她从事文学创作的内动力，并不断激发她的创造力。她以自己的人生经验与创作实践为基础，凭借一个女作家敏锐的性别意识, 努力探索女性与创作之间的关系。在伍尔夫看来，女性既是文学创作的对象，同时也是文学创作的主体。因此，她极力主张建立起一个独具女性主义特点的文学。为实现这一目标，伍尔夫选择女性之间的同性爱恋进行创作实验，创作手法娴熟，并在此过程中实现了呼吁女权的终极目标。一方面，鉴于父权社会极力打压女性创作力，用以维护男性权利，弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫以自己的实际行动向父权社会发起了最猛烈的攻击。作为一名女性，她不顾父权社会的打压与反对，毅然踏上了创作之路，并在整个创作生涯中孜孜追求，不遗余力。另一方面，性别身份深深影响了伍尔夫对作品主题和内容的选择，这种影响在她对女同性恋主题的处理上更为明显。在处理女同性恋这一主题上，与女同性恋文学传统不同的是，伍尔夫着重描绘的不是生理亲密或情欲，而是女性之间的精神与情感依恋。伍尔夫强调女性创作的必要性，提倡在创作过程中转向女同性恋作为一种新的创作源泉，由此可见，伍尔夫通过其作品表达了从父权控制种完全挣脱出来的强烈的欲望，不光是从肉体层面而且更是从精神层面上。从此意义上看，伍尔夫女的同性恋主张不过是其女性主义主张的一个更有效与有力的延伸。过去的文学批评中，绝大部分的文学批评主要集中探索女性主义理论，但鲜有人关注她作品中的女同性恋主题。鉴于此，本文试图通过女同性恋的角度分析伍尔夫的女性主义，这也正是此研究不同于其他研究的一个重要意义。此外，对弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫的作品进行女性主义/女同性恋解读定能激发人们对伍尔夫的女性主义和艺术美学的全新认识。本文通过细读的方式，分析弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫的三部代表作品：《达洛维夫人》、《到灯塔去》、《奥兰多》。分析充分证明，伍尔夫转向女同性恋主义寻求一种新的创作力源泉，重新阐释其女性主义思想。她对文学创作的超前实验，不仅对当时的女性文学创作有着积极的指导作用，而且也预示了女性主义批评的发展方向。

A Literature of Virginia Woolf’s Own: Reclaiming the Fountain of Female Creativity
Abstract
Virginia Woolf is one of the most prominent feminist pioneers in the 20th century literature. As a female writer who is fully dedicated to women’s literature, Woolf’s gender identity evolves into the dynamic force that stimulates her creativity. Based on her own life experience, creative practice and drawing upon an authoress’ acute gender consciousness, Virginia Woolf sets out to explore the relation between women and creation. Following in the belief that women are both subject and object of literary creation, Woolf argues for a peculairly female literature. To that end, she chooses same-sex love between women as her field of experimentation and deftly deals with the lesbian theme in her works. In doing so, Woolf achieves the ultimate goal of asserting female power. On the one hand, by embarking on the road to becoming a writer as a woman and by dedicating herself unreservedly to the pursuit, Woolf launches a most fierce attack on the patriarchal society, given that cramping of female creativeness is one efficent way of asserting male power. On the other hand, Woolf’s gender identity exerts immeasurable influence on the subjects and themes of her works. This influence is most prominent in her treatment of the lesbian theme. In approaching the lesbian theme, Woolf’s focus is not on describing the physical or erotic practices between two women, as is the custom of the lesbian literature. Instead, Woolf deals with the intellectual and emotional attraction between women. By emphasizing the need for women to create and asserting lesbian love as a new source of creativity, Virginia Woolf gives voice to her inner desire for a total breakthrough from an inherently patriarchal control, not only physically and sexually, but also literally and intellectually. In this respect, Woolf’s representation of lesbian love is a more radical extension and powerful affirmation of her feminist advocations.
While the majority of the past criticism has been centering on exploring Virginia Woolf’s feminist theories, the lesbian themes in her works remain under-explored. Considering this, the thesis attempts to analyze her feminism through the perspective of lesbianism, which gives primary significance to the present study. In addition, a feminist/lesbian reading of Virginia Woolf’s works is bound to provoke new understandings of Woolf’s feminism and artistic aesthetics.
