Research Questions  
Motive 
1.      What is the motivation of the first internationalization?  I majored in international trading in the university. And got a position in a large company’s evening dressing division as soon as graduated. I’ve worked for 5years and accumulated some customer resources during these years. Until 2006, I quit my job and wanted to set up my own business. Then I told my idea to Mr.Wang, who is the Factory Manager of Calen fashion, he told me that he also want to export to overseas market directly. Then I joined Calen fashion and cooperated with him to help his factory got export right and find foreign customers directly.
2.      When does your enterprise start to internationalize? Before I joined this firm, they have already do OEM for Japanese company through a domestic trade company. From 2007, we started to export directly. Our first customer is the customer of my ex-employer. I have a very good relationship with them when I worked for that company. When I told them that I started to do my own business and can provide same quality product but lower price to them. They give me the first order.

3.      Whether it is the plan to develop the market or just accidental turning point?  Yes, I think they had plan to develop the international market. Because before the year of 2000, Calen fashion was a small plant which produced varieties of beading, machine embroidery for wedding dresses for other companies in Chaozhou. From 2000, Mr. Wang transferred the factory’s focus to making dresses.

Before I joined in the firms, Calen has already export its product to Japanese market. Most of the orders are OEM. From 2006, After we obtained the self-export right, I think we have clearer planning about internationalization.
