Wikipedia, the term Mind Mapping is defined as “a diagram used to visually outlineinformation. A mind map is often created around a single word or text, placed in the center, towhich associated ideas, words and concepts are added. Major categories radiate from a centralnode, and lesser categories are sub-branches of larger branches. Categories can representwords, ideas, or other items related to a central key word or idea”.According to Tony Buzan(1993), Mind Mapping has the following four essentialcharacteristics:The subject of attention is crystallized in a central image; The main themes of thesubject radiate from the central image as branches; Branches comprise a key image orkey word printed on an associated line, topics of lesser importance are also representedas branches attached to higher level branches; The branches form a connected nodalstructure. 2.2 English Speaking Competence
In Practical English Language Teaching, Nunan(2004) gave the definition of speakingwhich“ is the productive oral skill. It consists of producing systematic verbal utterances toconvey meaning.”Speaking is a significant part of daily communication among speakers and it is also ajudgment of a person’s first impression based on her/his speaking or oral English. Speakingcan be divided into two parts, active oral speech which refers to speaking and passive oralspeech which refers to listening. Speaking has two obvious features .One is that speech isspontaneous and the other is speaking time-limits.In Brown and Yule’s view, spoken English consists of “incomplete sentence, lesssubordinate clause and less passive voice, using ambiguous conjunction and argumentstructure (E.g.: the sun—oh look it’s going down), more demonstrative pronoun (E.g.: thisfellow she was supposed to meet), more anything but theme (E.g.: weather), more repetition, pause, and modal particle and so on” (1983, p.67). According to their view, Spoken English isan integrative competence which combines basic features of spoken English with learners’thoughts and experiences.

4.1 Results
After the experiment, the records which were a list of two groups’ scores were typedinto SPSS, using comparative mean analysis function to make a further study. Because of theexperiment, the data was from two different classes. Two charts were generated by SPSS, andanalyze the “m-value” and “sig” of the chart. “M” represented “means”, the average numberof each class’s score. If the “m” was almost the same in the two classes, it proved the fact thatthe average score of the two classes are nearly the same. The Reference value of “sig” is 0.05.When the probability in the chart was lower than or equal to 0.05 before the experiment, thetwo groups were at different levels. While, when the probability was higher than 0.05, itmeant that the two gro论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
