Chapter Two Theoretical Bases
For the current problems of English translation teaching of Englishmajors in higher vocational colleges, this paper adopts educationalpsychology, curriculum, teaching theory and other theories of highereducation, aiming to conduct a more systematic study of English teachingproblems in vocational colleges.'Working-integrated Learning' mode is an educational modecombining work and education together. Since 2005, China has proposeda policy to vigorously develop vocational education. 'Working-integrated Learning' training mode gradually gets attention. 'Thecombination of work and study' education mode, emphasizes theintegration of education and the practical application ability of students.Since the English translation teaching of English major was affectedby emotion, knowledge, methods of teaching and learning, this study willuse theories of Constructivism, Effective Filter Hypo
thesis, and HeuristicTeaching as theoretical basis of professional English translation.
2.1 Constructive Theory
Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget puts constructivism theory forward.He believes that the development of an individual is in constant interaction with the environment in the building process. Its internalpsychological structure is constantly changing. Constructive emphasizesthe dynamic nature of knowledge in view of knowledge. Knowledge isnot absolutely correct representation of the real world. It emphasizeslearner's learning potential and experience of the world in terms ofconcept of learning and constructive initiative. Constructive, Humanismand other independent studies are closely related. Constructive theoriesreveal specific rules of language teaching. It emphasizes student-centeredteaching to highlight the dominant position of students and respect forindividual differences. Institutional language teaching and collaborativelearning should be consistent with the complex reality. Language teachingshould focus on mutual exchange that can promote each learner to buildknowledge from multiple perspectives, and test and modify theirunderstanding through collaboration. It emphasizes that the socialenvironment plays an important part in the achievement of ultimate goalof interaction. This language teaching theory is imaginative and providesimportant inspiration for language teaching.
