摘要:以前的研究已经表明,可以训练学生掌握阅读策略。学者认为,重要的是学生的阅读阅读策略是正确的指令。许多研究已完成在该领域的阅读策略,但大多数研究的主体是大学生。

investigation about the students'knowledge and use of reading comprehension strategies. The observation of thereading classes will show the situation of reading strategies training. After findingout their problems, the author provides some suggestions to the teachers andstudents.


1.2 Organization of the thesis
Chapter one is an introduction, in which the author briefly introduces thesignificance and background of this study,as well as the overall structure of thethesis.Chapter two reviews the literature. The author introduces some importanttheories in the research of language learning strategies. It mainly focuses on therelated studies of learning strategies home and aboard. The definitions andclassifications of learning strategies which support the study of this thesis are alsointroduced and interpreted.In chapter three the author investigates some students of Senior Grade Two inYu Hong High School in the situation of using reading strategies. The author alsodescribes the subjects,instruments, research questions and reports the process ofdata collection.


Chapter Two Literature Review


2.1 Related Studies on Learning Strategies
With the development of cognitive psychology, the focus of language teachingresearch has shifted from the study of the teaching process to the study of theindividual characters of students and their learning process. There have been manyexperts studying the second language learning strategies, such as Selinger, Rubin,Naiman, Stern and so on. These researchers in the early 1970s tried to identify thecharacteristics of successful language learners in their English learning,especially intheir use of language strategies. The research tools were mainly interview,questionnaire and so on. The previous researches have provided good bases for thelater research on the research methods.In the 1980s, many scholars started to do the research in this area and the studyof English learning strategies has got a rapid development. The early 1980s focusedon the study of second language learner autonomy, comparing the good languagelearners and less effective learners,testing strategy models and building theories. Inthe late 1980,O'Malley, Chamot & Walker published the article Some Application ofCognitive Information-Processing Theory in Second Language Acquisition. In 1988,they started the longitudinal study of the use of second language strategies indifferent learning tasks. In 1987, Rubin and Wenden published their book LearnerStrategies in Language Learning, in which the two authors defined and classifiedlearning strategies, introduced learning strategies research method, strategic use oflearning strategies and the ways of training effective learning strategies.
