对比分析中美语言学硕士论文中出现的因果标记语  
本文采用对比中介语分析和错误分析这两种方法对所得数据进行定量和定性研究。结果发现:中国英语专业研究生在学位论文中使用因果类话语标记语的频率和种类都要高于同研究方向的美国高校研究生;中国英语专业研究生倾向使用表结果的话语标记语，而本族语者倾向使用表原因的话语标记语等。
Introduction
In various languages, there always seems to be some marginal components whose meanings, functions and grammatical statuses are difficult to be analyzed from the layer of sentence. Their meanings and functions, however, can be easy to be obtained if they are analyzed from a broader communicative context such as the paragraph.
1.1 Research background
Before the introduction of theoretical background, we should cast light on the term DMs firstly. In fact, there are many similar terms as DMs used by many scholars and these terms are usually considered the same.
DMs is always discussed as a hot subject in many academic fields. In 1970s, it appeared the pragmatic research about DMs in western countries. DMs not only constitute the propositional content of discourse utterance, but have important pragmatic functions as well.
With the booming development of functional linguistics, pragmatics, discourse linguistics, cognitive linguistic, discourse analysis and other relevant subjects, more and more scholars realized the pragmatic status and research value of DMs which was not a marginal and redundant component any more.
