In the world today, several scientific knowledge, technological advancement and economic resources are great when compared to any other time in history. For these reasons, researchers and practitioners have wondered whether it would be possible to use these resources to reduce health related risks that are constantly faced by nations thus assisting in preventing unnecessary human suffering. It is evidence that there exist several instances where human suffering is common and that unify global health can provide solution. For instance, according to a research carried out in the year 2010, about one million people in the world are not able to benefits with the facilities of a health care system, 36 million death cases are as a result of non communicable disease such as cardiovascular diseases, millions of children under the age of five die from malnutrition related diseases which are preventable.  It is evidence that the globe needs to find health as an important factor and struggle through proper allocation of resources to provide global health facilities.

There are several arguments for and against the use of global resources to improve health. Some of the arguments in support include that global health is a security issue. Health and security should be considered as important factors by the entire globe because they maintain a permanent feature in governance of any nation. “Health Security” since back in the 21st century assists in maintaining satiability in sovereign power and promotes material interest of all nations. International humanitarian law also assists in encouraging global health. The law rules against hostilities and obliges states to protect fellow nations thus encouraging non-combatants. Still on global health security states should embrace health of all nations to protect historic epidemic panic such as influenza pandemic which has major flashpoints.

Counter arguments exists on the use of health to enhance security and economic stability. Researchers who do not agree with health as a security measure feel that globalization of health facilities will bring political viability and damage to the economic sector. This debate is backed up by statements that portray economic and political interests are not related to health.

Health and development is another major argument that strongly supports global health system. The argument state that health and education are major sectors in economic growth. But health should be monitored to ensure long term growth stability since it the aid to most economic return and poses strategic purposes. Economic return is allocated by donor interests that reflect global health need. When analyzing the need of the globe health development which constantly reflects high political stability and national security assist in establishing that the available resources should be used to improve health related needs.
