5.1 The process of nurturing a classroom learning community
Compared to the former classroom relation between teachers and students, themain difference of classroom learning community is to emphasize the interdependentrelations between individual and community. The traditional classroom pays moreattention to the communication between teachers and a few students,but a majority ofstudents are ignored by teachers. Therefore,forming the interdependent relationsamong learners and teachers is the first step for nurturing a classroom learningcommunity.As mentioned previously, the aim of classroom learning community is topromote every student's growth and development. Undoubtedly, teachers studentsplay different duties in the classroom when they are pursuing the same goal. Studentsand teachers will improve themselves in the classroom learning community not onlyin physics but also in mind. The teacher will renew their knowledge and improve theirteaching capability. They will turn to expert teachers.

Conclusion


The study attempts to nurture a classroom learning community to change tiietraditional model of college English class. What's more, it also explores the impactson college English learners through nurturing a classroom learning community. Theauthor hopes that it will provide a new idea to today's foreign language teaching.The thesis focused on the classroom learning community based on learningtheory of constructivism. First of all, the thesis summarizes the related research oncommunity, learning community and classroom learning community,both at homeand abroad. It also presents the influence of constructivism learning theory onclassroom learning community. Then, combined to the case stories of my research, thethesis tries to present how to nurture classroom learning community from two parts.The first part presents the principles of nurturing classroom learning community. Thesecond part tries to describe the concrete steps to set up a classroom learningcommunity. The following part is to sum up the impacts on college English learnersthrough classroom learning community. The research findings show that the students'autonomous learning ability has been cultivated and improved; their ability tocooperate with others has been developed; their learning motivation has beenactivated. Then it states the opportunity and challenges facing both teachers andstudents during nurturing classroom learning community.
