A pun often has double meanings, one is the surface meaning, the other is the implied meaning, and the implied meaning is often what the author intends to tell us. Therefore, to understand and translate English pun is very difficult. As an English learner, we must learn the characteristics of English pun, only when we master the features of English pun can we use it easily and effectively. In translation of English pun, we must adopt the flexible technique, and try our best to convert the untranslatability into translatability.
