Rejected Hypothesis (H2)

The rejected hypothesis result is based on the statistical test used on the available data from 1961 to 2007 of Pakistan’s foreign direct investment, employed people, gross domestic product, white collar jobs and blue collar jobs. Following hypothesis has been rejected and it was found that foreign direct investment negatively influenced the white collar jobs.

H2: There is a negative significant impact of foreign direct investment on the white collar job employment.

Conclusion and Discussions

The interrelation among the Pakistan foreign affiliation investment and other labor market dynamics are explored by this study. Through empirical test study found that there is a positively increasing effect of the foreign direct investment on the employment level, whereas in the managerial job market the study reveals that there is a negative impact of the foreign affiliation investment on the white collar jobs.

The foreign direct investment in a particular country is predominantly motivated by the labor market structure and the cost of labor. In the developing countries foreign direct investment consider as a remedy of the unemployment. This study concluded that there is a consequence of the foreign affiliation investment that the decrease in the managerial job market. Developed countries hold a policy to outsource labor intensive work to the developed countries in order to gain a persistent expansion in the world economy. Whereas in the developing countries like Pakistan hold a policy to increase foreign affiliation investment as remedy of the unemployment. In the context of Pakistan, study gives the impression of being a positive impact of the foreign investment in order to increase the employment. In this study retrospect study also found that Pakistan faced an increase in the labor intensive jobs and a decrease in the managerial job market.

Implications and Future Research

The inward foreign investment and the changes in the job market structures are the two propositions in the study. By examine this research outcomes recommendation and implications such as developing countries encourage foreign investments a good short term remedy for the unemployment, whereas in long term prospective the local investments in an economy a good long term remedy for the unemployment. The prospect study recommendation and possibilities such as the different industries examination and the foreign direct investment, the effectiveness of foreign direct investment and domestic investment in creating employment, the effect of foreign direct investment and the skill up gradation in job market, and Foreign investment and the brain drain in developing economy.
