1 Introduction
After more than 3 months' deliberation, on the local time at 20 o'clock on December 1, the United States' President Obama made a speech in the West Point in New York and announced that America would increase 30,000 troops in Afghanistan. Obama promised that America would help Afghanistan crack promote the political process by cracking down on "bases" terrorist organization and constructing Afghan security forces, and left Afghanistan with “a triumphant gesture”. Obama showed that America would fight against the militants with the fastest speed in place and taking protection as the important goal. Obama also put forward the troop withdrawal timetable. In the futuristic 18 months, American troops are hopeful to begin withdrawing from Afghanistan.

Context:
On Dec 1st, President Obama announced sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, he said he intended "to begin the transfer of our forces out of Afghanistan in July of 2011" in a responsible transition that considers "conditions on the ground."
Support for President Obama has dropped below 50 percent for the first time in a CNN poll despite high marks for his recently announced Afghanistan policy. About 54 percent saying they will blame him for any problems the U.S. faces in Afghanistan in 2011.
