摘要:本文主要研究英语四级对英语教学影响的。作为一种评估英语能力非常重要评估方法,CET-4对英语教学和英语学习有着非常大的影响。As a very significant evaluation system of English using ability, CET-4 has a great effect on English teaching and learning。 based on the background, this research is toexplore the influence of CET-4 listening test on College English teaching and learningfrom the facets of perceptions, processes and means of listening teaching and learning.
4.1 Analysis of questionnaire results
From Figure4.1, it clearly shows us most of the students think the teaching attitudesare agreeable. It mainly refers to teaching purpose, teaching preparation, teachingorganization and assignment. The figure shows us in current College English teaching, theteachers’ attitudes are relatively positive. Their teaching purpose is to impart knowledge.The teachers devote most of their time to textbooks, and they design the teachingprocedure elaborately, arrange class time efficiently. About assignment, not all the teacherscan arrange homework for students’ level. Figure 4.2 shows that the students’ attitude towards teaching methods. It implies thatsome teachers can adopt modern teaching concept, use different instruments, especiallymultimedia and internet to accomplish the teaching content. But because of the number ofthe students are too large, the teachers can’t choose methods to suit every student.Therefore some students are not satisfied with the methods, who express that teachingmethods should be changed along with contents.

Conclusion
The first finding in this study proves that CET 4 listening has crucial influence onCollege English listening teaching and learning, and such influence is both positive andnegative. The positive washback is mainly discussed in the following aspects:
(1) CET-4 listening makes the university teachers and the students attach greatimportance to College English listening teaching and learning.
(2) CET-4 listening test is one way to measure the students’ listening ability. And themeasurement and evaluation is relatively objective, standardized and comprehensive. It is achannel for students to learn about their English listening level.
(3) CET-4 listening urges College English teachers and students to teach and learnwell.
(4) CET-4 encourages the innovations of teaching syllabus and the publishing ofcommunicative oriented instructional materials.
