Abstract: Questioning is a indispensible part of classroom teaching and a measurement of classroom performance in our vocational college. But there is not enough importance had attached on it in the author’s class. In this
essay, the author researched on previous theories and peer studies on questioning, in accordance on the specific situation of our college, trying to figure out how to improve the questioning behavior in the class.

1. The orientation
反思
提问是最常用的教学手段之一,是不可或缺的课堂活动。作为一种教学方法,实施起来很简单,不需要教学辅助,对时间和空间的限制也不大。似乎老师只是在不知不觉中提出问题,没有仔细思考,只是在讲课的过程中突然出现了问题。事实上,在教学中的质疑不是那么简单。狄龙(2004:xi)表示,学习是学生被问到的问题的结果,是教师提问的结果。 Borich(1992:250引自林,2008)表明,有效的问题可以鼓励学生积极响应,从而参与学习过程。国内外专家学者对此进行了大量的研究,并取得了丰硕的成果。然而,每个班的教学都不同,你应该了解你的学生,找出最适合他们的方法。只有结合这两者才能正确解决问题。这正是本文要做的。Questioning is one of the most commonly used means of teaching and an indispensible classroom activity. As a teaching method, it is so easy to implement that no teaching aids are needed and little limitation on time and space. It seems that teachers just propose questions unconsciously without close thinking and the questions just popped up in the flow of their lectures. In fact, questioning in teaching is not that simple. Dillon (2004:xi) stated that learning is” an outgrowth of the questions that students are asked and the better a teacher’s questions”. Borich (1992:250 cited from Lin, 2008) indicated that effective questions could encourage students response actively and thereby become engaged in the learning process. Numbers of experts has researched in this field both home and abroad and has accomplished enormous achievements. Nevertheless, teaching is different in every class that you should know your students and find out what fits them the most. It requires the teachers to research both previous experience of others and present situation of your own. Only when combining these two one can come to a proper solution to the problem. That is what this
essay intend to do.
