he verbal power is necessary but should be restricted within an appropriate range . Teachers should lower their power and try to create a solidarity relationship with the students so as to promote the harmonious relationship between them .Also through the analysis ,we should enhance our sensitivity in using a foreign language ,and improve cooperation ,mutual understanding and efficiency in everyday oral communication with people .

 

5 .3 Limitations and suggestions 
There are some limitations in the present study .The first is concerned with the transcription techniques .Oral conversation is very complex so that sometimes it is impossible to record those complicated vocal phenomena as precisely as they are . Secondly ,with regard to methodology ,the data collected are not adequate enough .If more talk shows are selected and analyzed ,the result achieved will be more convincing .In addition ,more statistical analysis could be used for the examination of the data since statistics can show more precisely to what extent the generalizations are accurate and adequate .
The present study only concerns one aspect of CA--conversation structure analysis ,so further studies of talk shows might be done from the other aspects of CA or other research perspectives such as sociolinguistics and cognitive linguistics to discover how participants influence the process of talk shows and how they construct their language in the cognitive context of talk shows . Furthermore ,comparative studies can be made between English TV talk shows and Chinese TV talk shows to discover how cultural factors influence media discourse .
